Ever get a song stuck in your head... for TWO YEARS?!

May 2006. The boy wasn’t born yet. We were in New York City with friends for a show and some good times. We were in a bar with skeletons in the corners and over the sound system I heard a song  I really liked. I mean really, REALLY liked. I had remembered hearing it before but had never known the title or the artist. I took a mental break from the conversation going on at the time to try and focus in on a lyric or two so I could use my fantastic Googling skills and find the song later...

I tried and tried when we got back, but I couldn’t find the song using “Can’t you see me screaming at the top of my lungs” as a google search.

Over the next couple of years I’d always have part of the chorus’ melody in the back of my mind, almost haunting me. Every time I’d remember it clearly enough I’d try again, but no dice.

Somehow, a couple days ago I decided to try once more and found it! It’s a song by the short-lived band Big Wreck.

Funnily enough that song that I’d been searching for all this time is named “That Song.” It’s about some poor guy hung-up on an ex-girlfriend and how a certain song makes him think of her...

Needless to say, I downloaded it from iTunes and am enjoying an actual song rather than a fleeting glimpse of one.
